In this post, I am sharing an honest review of the taste and nutrition in Partake Cookies along with some information about the brand.

Background
Recently, I conducted taste testing of better-for-you cookie brands. While I was doing my "cookie time" research I came across Partake cookies, an allergy-friendly cookie option perfect to pack in a school lunch!
Partake Cookies are a tasty option for people with food allergies. It might be surprising to hear, but 32 million Americans have food allergies. And food allergies affect 1 in 13 children across the country. That’s roughly 2 in every classroom!
Partake Cookies Brand story
Partake Foods was founded by Denise Woodard who launched the brand in 2016 after her daughter was diagnosed with food allergies. Denise discovered that the cookie brands on the shelves were full of ingredients her daughter couldn't have. And the ones that she found without allergens didn’t taste good. So she took on the challenge to create a better-for-you cookie product that is free of the top 9 allergens and also tastes great.
Flash forward 6 years and there is a line of cookies and also breakfast mixes sold nationally!
A big part of Partake's brand story is their big mission and commitment to give back. They partner with organizations like No Kid Hungry to provide access to food and nutrition education for families who are food insecure. Denise Woodard also founded the Black Futures Fellowship, an education opportunity to increase Black representation in the CPG food and beverage space by providing paid internships and job opportunities to HBCU students.
Ingredient Information for Partake Cookies
The ingredients in Partake Cookies start with a gluten-free flour blend made of organic light buckwheat flour, gluten free oat flour, cassava flour, and tapioca flour. The next ingredients in the popular crunchy chocolate chip cookie flavor are organic fair trade cane sugar, non GMO sunflower oil, semi-sweet chocolate chips, gluten-free oats, tapioca starch, tapioca fiber syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt. They also contain caramelized cane sugar and rosemary extract. Some flavors contain ginger, organic brown sugar, and flax.
Free From
Partake Cookies are made with allergy-friendly ingredients in an allergy-friendly facility and are free from the top 9 allergens including:
- Wheat
- Tree Nuts
- Peanuts
- Milk
- Eggs
- Soy
- Fish
- Sesame
- Shellfish
They are also free from artificial flavors and artificial preservatives and are certified gluten-free, certified vegan, and non-GMO.
Nutrition Information for Partake Cookies
Compared to the typical cookie brand of Chips Ahoy, Partake Cookies are lower in total fat, saturated fat, and added sugar. They also provide fiber which comes from the gluten free oats. A serving of 3 cookies provides 1 gram of fiber which meets 4% of your daily value fiber.
My general nutritional advice is to have all things in moderation. And one thing I like about Partake Cookies is they are small. So if you want a little something sweet, you can have one or two and satisfy your sweet tooth without the sugar crash or feeling like you overdid it. It helps to take your serving out of the box and put the rest away rather than eating straight from the box. 🙂

Flavor Review
Y'all. When I say I have had this brand on repeat in my pantry, I mean it. So far I have taste-tested 5 of the Partake Cookie varieties available. I think the taste of these vegan cookies is delicious. I prefer a crunchy cookie so I love the classic crunchy chocolate chip that you can find in a blue box at the grocery store. But the soft flavors are so good, too. They aren't gritty which is something I noticed about other better-for-you cookie brands. And since they don't have any artificial sweeteners you don't get any weird aftertaste. I truly prefer the taste of these over other cookies, including brands that aren't allergy-friendly!
Here’s how I rank the flavors I've tried based on taste:
- Chocolate Chip (crunchy)
- Lemon (soft)
- Birthday cake cookie (crunchy)
- Classic Grahams
- Snickerdoodle (soft)
In Conclusion
To sum it up, Partake Cookies are perfect treats for those on the hunt for a healthier cookie option or for allergy moms looking for dessert to pack in a school lunch. They are free of the top nine allergens and lower in total fat, saturated fats, and added sugars than Chips Ahoy. Plus, they contain some fiber. Made with wholesome ingredients and no artificial sweeteners, they taste sweet and the texture is spot-on. The brand was founded by a mother whose daughter was diagnosed with food allergies and they are now giving back to the community. I've loved Partake Cookies since my first taste and I hope you do, too!
